When you first log in to the dieselmatic app, you'll land on the dashboard screen for your company. The dashboard contains all the statistics for your digital marketing campaigns and performance charts for you to review. To access the email campaigns, kindly click “DieselMail” from the left menu.

But before starting with email campaigns, it’s important to update company details. You can access it by clicking “settings” on the left bottom menu.

Here, you can quickly update essential details like company information, store locations, and branding, while tracking the performance of your marketing campaigns.

You can also manage user access to your DieselMail email campaign dashboard.

Settings Overview

In the Settings overview, you'll find all your key business details:

  • Business

  • Locations

  • Contact address

  • Website URL

  • Your subscription tier with Dieselmatic

Company Details

On the company details screen, you can quickly update your business name and main email contact address.

Locations

The Location page serves as a hub for managing all your shop locations, allowing you to seamlessly integrate them into your email campaigns. To update a location, simply navigate to the desired entry, click the ellipsis icon located on its right, and select 'Edit.'

From there, you can input details such as:

  • Business website

  • Email address

  • Phone number

  • Physical address

  • Google Place ID

  • Business owner's name

It's important to ensure that all required information is accurately filled out before launching any email campaign. Once you've entered the necessary details, don't forget to click 'Save' to preserve your changes.

To find your Google Place ID you can go to https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/places/web-service/place-id and search for your business name. The system will then display your unique Place ID, which you can copy and paste into your location's profile.

Branding

The branding page allows you to customize your business's brand within the email app. You can update the display name, choose brand colors, and easily add your business logo. The primary, secondary, and tertiary color palettes enable you to select colors from the palette or enter your own color code.

User Access

The User Access screen provides a straightforward method for adding new users to the email campaign app. Initiating the process is as simple as clicking the 'Grant Access' button and providing the user's name and email address. Once access has been granted, the new user can log in to the email campaign dashboard using their login details.

DieselMail Campaigns

Your Dieselmail Campaigns dashboard is organized into two key sections - Overview, where you can manage your campaigns, and Contacts, where you handle your customer lists.

Overview

The Overview screen quickly provides an outline of the current email campaigns created, including the type of email campaign, how many contacts have been assigned to that email campaign, the location being used in the campaign, and its current status—whether the campaign is active, inactive, or in draft mode.

Clicking on the ellipsis button brings up several other options: view, campaign builder, update, archive, and pause.

View

(Note - This option will be accessible for only active campaigns.)

After selecting the 'View’ option, you'll be directed to an Activity Timeline Dashboard showcasing the performance of your chosen campaign. This dashboard offers valuable insights into the campaign's engagement and effectiveness over time.

You'll quickly see metrics such as the number of emails sent and the total contacts included in the campaign, along with essential details like creation date and current status.

Clicking the update button enables you to modify the campaign's name, location and select a different goal for the campaign. You can also permanently delete the campaign from this screen.

Content

The Content section displays the emails that have been sent to your clients within your campaign. Each campaign consists of a series of emails sent sequentially over time.

Within this area, you can view the sequence of emails being dispatched, track the number of emails sent, and analyze the interaction rates for each email, giving you a clear understanding of how recipients are engaging with the emails being sent.

Clicking on the ellipsis and selecting 'View' allows you to review the content of the emails sent to your contacts. These emails may contain placeholder text, such as [[Contact Name]], which is automatically populated as the campaign is sent out. It's important to note that this placeholder content does not require editing or changing.

Choosing 'Update' enables you to edit the email content source code. It's important to note that this section requires familiarity with CSS and HTML, so it's best to proceed with caution unless you're comfortable with these technologies. Unless you're experienced with web development, we recommend maintaining the original code to ensure your emails display correctly.

Finally, you have the option to delete an email from the campaign sequence.

Assigned Contacts

The Contacts section allows you to review all contacts included in your current campaign. You can check each contact's status, the most recent email they received, and the date it was sent.

To import contacts into this campaign, click the 'Import Contacts' button and upload a CSV file containing your clients' names and emails.

Viewing a contact provides you with a history of their interactions with your campaigns in the activity timeline. You can quickly see which campaigns the contact has been added to, which emails they received, and when they received them. Additionally, you can delete contacts from this section.

Email Log

The campaign email log allows you to see when a contact was created, when they were sent an email in the campaign, and when they clicked a link in the email. Clicking 'View' allows you to see the latest email they received.

Contacts

The 'Contacts' section provides a versatile array of options for managing your campaign contacts information. From this dashboard, you can quickly see the name, email, and phone number of the contact, along with the date they were first added and the location from which the contact was added.

The 'Recurring' column indicates whether the contact is a repeat customer of your business.

You can manually add individual contacts or import an entire list of contacts using a CSV file. If you're utilizing Fullbay, you can enjoy the convenience of automatic contact addition whenever a new invoice is generated. This seamless integration ensures that your contact list is always up-to-date, allowing you to maintain a robust database for your marketing campaigns.

Manually Add A Contact

To add a new contact, simply click the 'Add Contact' button and a pop-up form will appear. In this form, you'll be prompted to enter essential details such as the contact's name and email address. While providing their phone number is optional, it can be beneficial for a more comprehensive contact profile.

Additionally, you should specify the location of the shop that the contact visited. This information helps tailor your communication and ensures that your outreach is as relevant and personalized as possible.

Import a CSV

Importing a list of contacts into the 'Contacts' section is straightforward. Just click the 'Import' button and choose the CSV file from your computer drive. This efficient process allows you to quickly upload multiple contacts at once.

If you would like to remove a contact from your email campaigns, you can do so in this section by clicking the ellipsis on the right-hand side of the row and selecting 'Delete.'

Viewing the contact opens the Contact Activity Overview screen.

This area provides insight into the contact's activity, including the number of emails sent, the campaigns they've received, their first and last contact dates, and the business location where they receive emails.

You can edit this information using the edit button. Additionally, contacts can be deleted in this section.

Campaigns

The Campaigns section displays all campaigns the contact is currently assigned to. The 'Remove Campaign' button enables you to swiftly remove the contact from a specific campaign. Additionally, you can assign a contact to a campaign.

Email Log

The Email Log displays when the contact was first added to the campaign and tracks their interactions with your campaign emails. Clicking 'View' allows you to see the latest email they received and whether they clicked on any links in the email.

Create

The email campaign creation section allows you to use expertly designed templates to craft compelling emails that not only look professional but are also designed to connect with your customers.

Drip Campaigns

The drip campaign is an automated email strategy that sends a series of scheduled emails to a specific audience, gradually guiding them through a predefined journey.

To initiate a new drip campaign, follow these steps:

  1. Assign a name to the campaign.

  2. Select the business location from which the campaign will be sent.

  3. Specify the goal for the drip campaign.

Don't worry if you don't have a clear goal in mind right now. You can edit the goal later, if needed, in the summary section.

Layouts

Select from our carefully crafted templates to align with your specific marketing goals and objectives. Preview each template, and once you've found one you like, click 'Use This Template' to proceed to the next step.

Content

Now, you can choose content to include in the email template. The Dieselmatic content team has carefully crafted all of this content to be both engaging and informative.

Email

In the preview of the email template with the content, you can choose either the email subject we've created for you or add your own. Additionally, you can select how many days you'd like to delay the email from the previous one in the campaign sequence. If this is your first email, you can keep this as 0.

We recommend spacing your emails out by a few days each.

You also have the ability to edit the email content. We recommend leaving the [[Contact Name]] placeholder in the email. Once you're satisfied with the email layout and content, click 'Continue' to view and edit the next email in the campaign sequence. Click 'Continue' again to move through all the emails in the campaign.

Audience

In the Audience section, you have the option to import contacts for the drip email campaign or select a mailing list to send the email campaign to. Once your selection is made, click 'Continue' to proceed.

Preview

You have another opportunity to preview your email campaign before sending it to your contacts. We strongly recommend sending a test email to yourself before sending the campaign to your contacts. Congratulations on completing your first email campaign on our platform!
