Using CallRail for Training and Performance

Most teams try to improve performance through scripts or general coaching. CallRail lets you train using real situations.

Updated today

Here at Dieselmatic, we use CallRail to make sure the right calls are headed your way. For your team, it becomes a tool to improve what happens once those calls come in.

CallRail gives you direct access to real conversations with leads. That makes it one of the most practical training tools you have.

How To Use CallRail for Internal Training

Most teams try to improve performance through scripts or general coaching. CallRail lets you train using real situations.

Pull a few calls each week

Look for a mix of strong calls and ones that did not go as planned.

Listen with intent

Focus on specific parts of the conversation:

  • How the call was opened

  • How questions or objections were handled

  • How the call moved toward a next step

Turn good calls into examples

When someone handles a call well, save it. This becomes your internal standard.

Use missed opportunities as coaching moments

Not to criticize, but to clearly show what could be improved.

What You’ll Start to See

Once you make this a habit, patterns become obvious. You may notice:

  • The same objections coming up again and again

  • Calls losing direction at a certain point

  • Opportunities where a better response could have moved things forward

This is the kind of insight that is hard to get any other way.

How To Access CallRail

You can access your CallRail recordings in our Dieselmatic App. Under “Dashboards” on the left hand side of your screen, you’ll see “Call Tracking” listed as a drop down. Click that, and you’ll see a CallRail option.

From here, you can see all of your calls data, but more importantly, recordings of the actual calls.
